We had such a sweet act of kindness in our classroom today. This young lady has been sad about a toy that was damaged over the weekend. Her sweet friend chose to shop for her at Santa Shop today to try to make her feel better. #kindnesscounts #proudteachermoment



Tuesday's 5th grade music classes said goodbye to our Millikin student, Leah Wier with centers and games. We will miss you!!



Brrrr! It was a great day for some polar animal fun at playgroup! We will meet one last time this semester next Tuesday, 12/17, at 8:00 and 10:30am in room 150 at MES. Playgroup will resume in the new year on Tuesday, 1/7.

Mrs. Owens and Miss Shields class learned about the parts of blood today with Cheerios, marshmallows, water, and cotton balls!





Mrs. Dust/Miss Cochran’s class walked to the post office today to mail friendly letters and learn about the postal service!

In Mrs. Hadowsky's art class the 2nd grade students have been learning about the work of Andy Warhol. The students made their own printing plate out of styrofoam. Then students printed their picture using printers ink and a brayer. They even learned how to number their prints like artists do.





Just a reminder as we begin HS winter sports.


The MES Christmas Concert (involving grades 3-5) will be held at the high school gymnasium in Macon on December 5, at 6:30 pm. Students are welcome to wear an elf hat, santa hat, or reindeer antlers to the concert. If you have questions, please email hagans@meridianhawks.net Thanks!!

Our Little Hawks spent some time learning about their 5 senses today. We had fun with activities that let us smell with our noses, hear with our ears, see with our eyes, touch with our hands, and even taste with our tongues!
