When using the drop off line and dropping off students in the morning, please follow these rules:
1. Do not park in the drop off line and bring students in. If you need to walk in with your student, you need to park in the north lot and then walk your child in.
2. The drop off line is one line, do not pass cars on the left side after you have dropped off.

We currently have no power at Meridian Elementary School. We will stay open and have regular dismissal today. Students are safe and have had lunch. Parents may come pick up students if they wish.

MES is excited to have Lindsey Sheppard in our new positions of part time prek parent coordinator and part time restorative justice coordinator.

Reminder - All school registration today, 8/7/18 from 10-6pm at the High School in Macon in the Great Hall. Forms available on School website to pre-fill if you wish.
School Registration will be held on Tues. Aug. 7th from 10-6 at Meridian High School in the Great Hall. Registration forms are available on line under the documents link.
New family/student registration will be Thurs. Aug. 2nd from 10-2 at MES for kindergarten - 5th graders. If you have moved into the district please plan to attend.
Meridian Preschool Screening
Meridian School District will hold preschool screenings for this coming school year on Thursday, August 2nd. If you live in the Meridian school district and have a child who will be 3 years of age by September 1st, 2018, they are eligible to be screened for this free program. Screening will take place at Meridian Elementary School located at 509 Lewis St. in Blue Mound. Screening appointments are available beginning at 8:00 a.m. Children are tested on concepts, motor skills and language skills. Parents will fill out paperwork while children are being tested. You may set up an appointment starting Friday, July 13th by calling Mrs. Reed at 217-972-3039.
Screening does not guarantee a spot in the program.
