In Mrs. Hadowsky's art class the 2nd grade students have been learning about the work of Andy Warhol. The students made their own printing plate out of styrofoam. Then students printed their picture using printers ink and a brayer. They even learned how to number their prints like artists do.

Our Little Hawks spent some time learning about their 5 senses today. We had fun with activities that let us smell with our noses, hear with our ears, see with our eyes, touch with our hands, and even taste with our tongues!

Our littlest Little Hawk was wide awake and happy to join us today! We loved having her!

In Mrs. Hadowsky's art class the first grade classes have been learning about the art work of artist George Seurat. They are painting with cotton swabs to better understand how Seurat would use dots to mix colors. His most famous pointillism painting took him 2 years to complete. Hopefully these 1st graders finish much sooner.
