Today is an 11:10 a.m. dismissal. We DO have school on Monday, October 14 - Columbus Day.
MHS Homecoming parade is tonight at 5:30 p.m. The parade will start at the high school and head north on Wall Street.
Friday, October 11 is a Student Council sponsored spirit day. Students are asked to show SCHOOL SPIRIT by wearing kelly green & white with accessories!

In light of Friday’s tragedy in Sullivan, many area schools are showing their support for the student’s family by wearing blue tomorrow, which was his favorite color. Meridian would like to join this support by asking students to wear blue to school tomorrow.
We did it! We met our goal of selling 1500 fundraiser tickets! THANK YOU for supporting our students and this year’s fall fundraiser. Money raised goes directly back to class accounts for all students to benefit from! Top sellers will begin drawing raffle winners on Tuesday!
MMS Student Council sponsored a motivational 3 Screens assembly today - “Fix It!” Through real-life stories, students learned about ways we can “fix” some of the issues teens deal with today.

The baseball team will play their next Regional game at HOME against Maroa Forsyth. Game time is 10:00 a.m.
The softball team will be playing the SECTIONAL game in Toledo against Newton Jasper County at 11:00 a.m.

Fever 1793 book stations in Mrs. Moyer’s Advanced Lit class. Students learned about yellow fever, mosquitos, and their favorite-Colonial food.



Our fall fundraiser kicked off Friday and will run through Friday, September 20. Raffle tickets are $10 each and gets you a chance to win cash during the month of October! Tickets can be purchased from any MMS student. Money raised from the fundraiser goes back into the class accounts to help fund class incentives, supplies and other educational resources.
