We had a packed auditorium for tonight's MMS (beginner & intermediate) & MHS band concert. All 3 bands did a terrific job performing a variety of holiday songs under the direction of Dr. Chris Raymond. We hope everyone left feeling ready for Christmas!

Volleyball tryouts for interested 6th - 8th graders begin tomorrow from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the MMS gym. All participants must have an updated physical on file prior to trying out. Please reach out to Coach Kirby with questions.
Auditions for the MMS Drama Club will take place on Monday and Tuesday. Students interested in auditioning for a role in this year's play should sign up for one slot.
The MMS & MHS Christmas band concert is scheduled for Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. This is a free event that the community is invited to attend!
There will be an informational meeting on Thursday during study hall for students interested in trying out for Scholastic Bowl.
The VIP fundraiser incentive lunch will take place on Friday for students who qualified.

Scholastic Bowl tryouts will take place when we return from Christmas break. There will be an informational meeting during study hall next week in Mrs. S Moyer's room. The friendly competition for possession of the IXL "bragging rights" trophy continues... Mrs. Houser's 1st hour 7th graders gained possession of the math trophy again with an average of 9.5 skills proficient. Mrs. Rhoades' 7th hour 6th graders gained possession of the ELA trophy again with an average of 18.5 skills proficient. A big shout out to all of the students who are working hard to contribute to each Leaderboard!

Congratulations to our students who finished on the top of the IXL Leaderboards for the month of November (by becoming proficient in math and ELA skills), but an even bigger shout out to ALL of the students who met their monthly goal of gaining at least 10 points in the diagnostic arena! We had 96 students meet the monthly goal in math and 102 students meet the monthly goal in ELA!

The MMS & MHS chorus concert, under the direction of Mr. Anderson, put on a wonderful Christmas performance for the community tonight. Several soloists were featured throughout the pieces. It was a great way to kick off the holiday season!








We have a 1:30 p.m. dismissal tomorrow (Wednesday, December 3) for school improvement. With study hall being shortened, please make sure your child is aware of any transportation changes prior to coming to school.

Tonight's scheduled basketball games have been postponed due to the weather. The 8th grade girls' IESA Regional basketball game has been rescheduled for tomorrow (7:00 p.m. at Salt Fork). The updated Regional bracket can be found on the IESA website.

We had 96 students with perfect attendance during the month of November - That's 4 more than last month! We are proud of our students for continuing to make attendance a priority as the year progresses. Tomorrow starts a new (but short!) month of school... Let's finish 2025 strong, MMS!

There will be a Drama Club workshop after school on Monday until 3:45 p.m. This is optional, but is a great opportunity for students interested in auditioning for this year's play to learn some audition tips.
