Students have another opportunity to spend their hard earned Hawk Bucks this week in the Hawk Buck Fall Raffle. Tickets can be purchased during both lunch periods for $10 Hawk Bucks/ticket for a chance at various items. Winners will be announced on Friday morning!

Emersyn W. was one of our top raffle fundraisers this year, so it was her turn to pick today's lucky $25 winner. Congratulations to Carol Brown! Thank you for supporting MMS this year by purchasing a raffle ticket!

There will be a drama club meeting during study hall tomorrow. This meeting is for anyone interested in being a part of the cast or crew of this year's MMS play.

The fundraiser cash incentive envelopes will be drawn during the lunch periods on Thursday. Students who sold at least 10 raffle tickets will receive anywhere from $1 - $100! In addition, students who sold 50 or more tickets will receive $50!

We will have also have a Hawk Buck raffle during the lunch period all week. Students can purchase raffle tickets for $10 Hawk Bucks each and enter to win various prizes - from gift cards to Hawk gear! Winners will be announced on Friday.

The 2nd quarter midterm is Friday! Midterm reports will be sent home with students receiving a below average grade in any Core subject on Tuesday, November 25.

Students are currently learning how to use Photoshop to blend objects in Mr. O'Brien's Computer Images & Video class. We are looking forward to seeing what kind of hybrid animals they create with this project!

Last night we were able to celebrate our 8th grade girls, as their regular season begins to come to an end.

This year's 8th grade basketball players are: Caitlin Burgess, Hayden Crist, Jensen Dawson, Zada Dudley, Bella Durbin, Ella Hilton, Khloe Leffler, Attison McNeely, and statistician, Aleeah Armour.

This week's Hawk Proud SHOUT OUT goes to Jensen D! Jensen's willingness to help out definitely doesn't go unnoticed. From jumping in to help clean up after the MES Veteran's Day program to being one of the last kids hanging around while picking up after any sporting event, we appreciate the young leader that she is!

The Kona Ice truck will be here on Friday for one of our fall fundraiser incentives! We had 50 students sell at least 15 raffle tickets to qualify for the Kona Ice. We are looking forward to warmer weather and a sweet treat to finish up the week!

Meridian Elementary PTO is currently selling spirit wear for the holiday season. The online store is open until November 21. Orders will not be processed until after the store closes. Delivery to the school will be before December 15.

Tonight is PACK THE PLACE night for our Lady Hawks! Make plans to come out to support the girls' basketball program when they take on the Sangamon Valley Storm starting at 6:00 p.m. Our 8th graders will be recognized with their parents between games. Students going on this year's Washington DC trip will also have walking tacos available to purchase, a 50/50 raffle, and half court challenge during half time. Come hungry and loud to cheer on the Lady Hawks at one of their final home games of the season! Go Hawks!

Our boys kicked off their home opener last night vs AO. Both the 7th and 8th grade captured wins.

The 8th grade squad came back from being down earlier in the game. Last minute free-throws sealed the deal. Free-throws win games (and defense...lol)!

The new cheer team made their debut and kept a fantastic basketball vibe all night!
