Students who attended any Meridian home game had an opportunity to write their name on a ticket and turn it in for a chance to win at the end of October. Every game attended meant more chances.
We were able to draw 4 winners from each school. Each winner won a $25 Amazon gift card.
This Month's winners are: Wyatt L., Harrison N., Malachi W., Brooklynn Z., Jarrett K., Cali S., Lukas S., Qwyn W., Arianna H., Maggie S., Christian S. and Weston R.
We will continue our athletic attendance drawing for November. Stay tuned for our new sponsor.
Remember the more you attend games....the better your chances. Good luck and go Hawks!

Hawk Nation, mark your calendars for next Friday, November 14th. You are invited to Green and White Night!
To kick off our Winter Sports Programs we will be holding an event where we recognize all of our MS/HS Boys/Girls basketball and Cheerleading programs including the youth league.
In addition to announcing the teams, spectators will get to enjoy two varsity level scrimmages . One scrimmage will be the boys' varsity squad and the other one will include a co-ed varsity scrimmage.
Also included will be a "Community Hot Shot Challenge" which will include giving visitors a chance to hit half court shots. There will be other attractions there to make this a fun event.
Hawk Nation, please consider joining us on Green and White Night!
Go Hawks!

We had 2 new students MAX OUT on IXL for ELA this month! This means that they have earned a score of 1300 which is equivalent to the High School Senior Level! Congratulations to Natalie V. and Zada D. for working hard on ELA skills to reach this level! They will be treated to lunch this week for this huge achievement!

Ever wonder what the money raised goes towards? This snack cart for October's Perfect Attendance is just one small example - but the kids definitely enjoy it! Thank you for supporting MMS this year!

We had 120 students meet the monthly goal in math! This is 70% of our student body and an increase of 23 students from just last month!
We had 114 students meet the monthly goal in ELA! This is 68% of our student body and an increase of 17 students from August/September!
Keep growing, Hawks!

More than HALF of our MMS student body had perfect attendance during the month of October! This is 18 more students than last October! These students will be treated to a snack during the lunch periods today as a result. Incredible job, Hawks!

The boys kick off their game schedule with a tournament at Cerro Gordo this upcoming weekend.
Good luck boys!

6th graders have been BUSY becoming proficient in IXL skills to ensure they gained possession of the "bragging rights" IXL trophies for the month! Mr. Britton's 4th hour 6th grade math class finished on top (after Mrs. Houser rubbed the trophy in their face last month!) with an average of 6.3 skills per student for the month of October. The ELA trophy was presented to Mrs. Moyer's 1st hour 6th grade English class which finished the month with an impressive average of 33.6 skills per student! Keep it up, Hawks!
