The 8th grade volleyball IESA Regional bracket was posted this morning. The Lady Hawks will play Sullivan next Saturday (March 7) at 9:00 a.m. at Sullivan Middle School.
Good luck to our 7th grade team when they begin Regional play tomorrow! The Lady Hawks will play Johns Hill at 11:00 a.m. at Atwood-Hammond Elementary School.

The game tonight in Bethany was so intense I did not get a picture. The boys got it done though and will be moving on in the regional!
Way to pack our side of the gym Hawk Nation! It was great to see everyone there in support for our boys!
Next game is Wednesday in Tuscola @ 7:30. We will play the winner of the Villa Grove/Windsor Stew-Stras game.

The MMS Drama Club has been working hard to prepare for their upcoming performances of "Twice Upon a Time!" Mark your calendars and make plans to join us in the auditorium on Friday, March 13 or Saturday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. to support these young actors and actresses. The Meridian-Macon FFA has a variety of activities planned for FFA week this week! Students will have the opportunity to win prizes as they participate in a daily duck hunt, a corn guessing contest, and FFA trivia. MMS students interested in learning more about what FFA has to offer are also invited to this month's FFA meeting on February 25 at 6:00 p.m. Also, don't forget to stop by the Ag building on Saturday, February 28 from 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. for breakfast. The FFA chapter will have pancakes, sausage links, and biscuits & gravy available - Donations only!

Big day of volleyball here at Meridian and CAM. The 8th and 7th grade teams had their OKAW tournaments. Both squads finished 4th in their respective brackets.

The 7th grade bracket for the upcoming IESA Regional tournament has been posted! Our Lady Hawks have the #2 seed and will be playing at Atwood-Hammond Grade School. The first game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 28 at 11:00 a.m.
Good luck to both 7th and 8th grade teams as they compete in the Okaw Jr. High Conference tournament tomorrow. The 7th grade team will head to Central A&M. Meridian will host the 8th grade tournament, and a bracket is included. If you plan to attend, please enter through the MHS doors. The cost of admission, set by the Okaw Conference, is $5 per person. Please note that passes will not be honored.

Today we want to cheer on sixth grade band members Javen and RaeAnn. They have been selected to represent Meridian at the ILMEA District 5 Elementary Band Festival. They will join fifth and sixth grade band students from across twenty counties in Illinois to prepare and perform an all-star concert! Join us for PACK THE PLACE night TONIGHT when the Lady Hawks take on the Decatur Catholic Bulldogs. We will be recognizing our 8th graders, along with their parents, between 7th and 8th grade games. Students going on this year's Washington DC trip will also have walking tacos available to purchase and a 50/50 raffle. We will kick off the night with our 6th grade game at 5:00 p.m.

Exciting news Hawk Nation....on Saturday Bryce Brown reached the 1,000 point club as we faced off and won against Beecher City!
Congratulations to Bryce for hitting this incredible milestone. We were able to have a more formal celebration on our home court tonight.

Students will have the chance to purchase slices of Casey's cheese pizza through another Hawk Buck raffle this week. Signs ups will take place Monday - Thursday with 30 names being randomly drawn and announced on Friday.
Track conditioning will begin on Tuesday for students interested in getting a jump start on the season. It will take place from 2:30-4:00 p.m.
Join us for Pack the Place night on Tuesday and we recognize our 8th graders along volleyball members and their parents. Help us cheer on the Lady Hawks when they play Decatur Catholic! The 6th grade game will begin at 5:00 p.m. Walking tacos will be available to purchase to help fund this year's Washington DC trip.

Tonight, these seniors will take the floor one final time here on their home court. Please come out to support their last night as we take on Shelbyville.
The JV game starts at 6:00 and will have shortened minutes. So please keep that in mind as we will celebrate our seniors in-between the JV game and Varsity games.

The Student Council Valentine's Day Dance is this Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the MMS gym! Students are encouraged to dress nice. The dance is free to attend, but there will be concession items available for purchase and a picture opportunity. Because of the dance, Friday's MMS volleyball games will be played in the High School gym starting at 4:00 p.m.
