Thanks to the Decatur Family YMCA's Backpack Attack Drive, we have a limited amount bookbags and basic school supplies available for families needing assistance. If your student could benefit, please email Mrs. Comerford, our Student Services Coordinator, at comerfordc@meridianhawks.net.

We are looking forward to welcoming our students back next week! The first day of student attendance is Tuesday, August 19. They will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. Please remember that all car riders should be dropped off and picked up from the MHS main entry to ensure the drive stays open and available for our buses. The bus riders will unload and load from the MMS main entry. The doors for the Macon campus will open at 7:25 a.m. with the first warning bell ringing at 7:40 a.m. Before the warning bell, 6th graders will sit in the gym while 7th & 8th graders sit in the cafeteria. Please make sure your child arrives with plenty of time to grab breakfast, stop by the locker, and get to class before the 7:46 a.m. bell. It's going to be a great year for our Hawks!

As a reminder, a State of Illinois health physical, Immunizations, and a dental exam is required for our 6th graders. The State of Illinois health physical will work as the athletic physical for those students interested in participating in sports this year (the IESA sports physical does not work as the health physical). If you haven't made appointments yet, please do so to ensure the necessary paperwork is on file with Mrs. Enlow by the given dates! Registration for this upcoming school year is now open on TeacherEase! When you log in to your parent account, you will immediately be prompted to complete the registration documents for each student. Once the registration is approved by one of the school offices, you will receive a notification that it was approved. If you have any questions, please contact the appropriate office.
