Happy Jackie Robinson Day! April 15, 1947 was a big day when Jackie Robinson took the field to play first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers. All MLB players are wearing his retired number "42" today in his honor!
Some 4th grade students have been learning about service animals in reading. They worked hard on writing letters to Mrs. Rhodes to ask her some questions about service dogs. They were surprised by Mrs. Rhodes and Yadi writing them letters back, and popping by to visit and answer their questions. Thank you to Mrs. Rhodes and Yadi for helping us learn more about service animals!

This afternoon, Mr. Snively's computer programmers were writing code for their “robot” to follow. The goal was to get their “robot” to stack cups in a certain formation. This was a fun “unplugged” coding challenge! We also learned some key coding vocabulary: algorithm, coding, debugging, function, and parameters.
Fourth Grade Readers are engaged with reading about storms. Each student chose a different storm to research and gather information. Now they are compiling facts and illustrating their storms.
