Meridian Preschool Screening
Meridian School District will hold our second preschool screening for the 2021-2022 school year on August 5th beginning at 8:30 a.m. If you live in the Meridian school district and have a child who will be 3 years of age by September 1st, 2021, they are eligible to be screened for this free program. Screening will take place at Meridian Elementary School located at 509 Lewis St. in Blue Mound. Children are tested on concepts, motor skills, and language. You may set up an appointment starting July 19th by calling 217-972-3039.
Screening does not guarantee a spot in the program.
Online registration for the 21-22 school year is now open for returning Meridian students. Please login to your SIS account to complete the necessary paperwork by Friday, August 6. Payment can be made online. If you would like to pay in person, please visit one of the offices beginning Monday, August 2. Completed medical forms can also be turned into the office prior to school starting or can be sent in with your child/dropped off on the first day.
In-person registration for NEW students will take place on Tuesday, August 3 from 8:00 - 2:00 p.m. If you have students in multiple buildings, you will only need to stop by one office to complete the necessary paperwork for all children.
While we are not rushing summer break, we have the following registration information to share:
On-line registration for students returning to the district is projected to be available in SIS on Monday July 19.
Registration for new students to the district: in person only- Tuesday August 3 from 8-2 at each building or by appointment on or after August 3. On-line registration is not available for new students.
In person registration for students returning to the district (if not utilizing on-line registration): Thursday August 5 8-2 at each building or by appointment on or after August 5.
On line registration materials & resources will continue to be updated during the month of June and some forms/information will be edited.

Lunch menu change - Monday, May 17th - The main entrée will be Cheeseburger on Monday, not corn dog. The other items remain the same.
We have a few yearbooks left over if you missed ordering one and would like to purchase one. The cost is $14. If you would like one, please call the school office - they will be given out first come, first serve. 217-692-2535.
