Art Club for MMS will begin next week. The group will meet on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday in the art room to work on winter watercolors and collaging. Interested students do not currently have to be in art, but they should sign up on the sheet posted on the art room door. Students do not have to attend all 3 days if there are after school or transportation conflicts.

Thanks to everyone who donated to our Humane Society Drive to benefit the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County! We collected 597 pounds of food and approximately 125 pounds of cleaning supplies, leashes, etc.

Pack the Place for our Girls’ basketball teams will take place on Thursday, November 14. The 7th grade game will start at 6:00 p.m. with doors opening for students at 5:30 p.m. Make plans to help the MMS cheerleaders cheer the girls on to victories against the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans. Student Council will have walking tacos available for purchase and a 50/50 raffle. There will also be a class attendance competition. This is a great chance to hear the MMS band too! Go Hawks!
The girls’ basketball games that were scheduled for tonight at Sangamon Valley have been cancelled.
School is closed today (Tuesday, November 12) due to the weather and road conditions. Extracurricular activities including practices will be decided as the day progresses. Stay safe!
Tomorrow is an 11:10 am dismissal. There is no school on Monday. Since we will not be in school on Veteran’s Day, we will honor our Veterans with a presentation by members of Macon's VFW and American Legion during social studies classes. We are asking for students to wear red, white, and blue.

Tomorrow’s theme is “Send a Message, Stay Drug Free.” Students are asked to send a drug-free message by wearing RED on Monday.
If your student is selling cards to raise money for Washington DC, the Cards for a Cause order forms and payment are due before school on Monday. Please drop them off with Mrs. Brown before school begins!

First quarter ends today! Report cards will be sent home with all students on Wednesday, October 23. If you have a student at MMS, please sign and return the signature portion as soon as possible.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place after school on October 23 & 24. Team leaders have contacted and scheduled conferences as needed. Because our teachers can’t meet with every family, please contact the classroom teacher with any questions or concerns!
