While walking through the halls I noticed that Coach Comerford was taking the time to just talk to her cheer team. It looked like she was having a Christmas party with them. She was passing out gifts and I overheard the girls sharing what they were looking forward to over the break. It was nice moment. We are thankful to have a person that thinks about and cares for her team. As the cheer season approached, the girls were still without a coach, but she stepped up and told us she would do it. Because she did, the girls were able to have a season. For that....we are grateful. Thank you so much Mrs. Comerford!

Weekend game updates.

With school canceled today, our Senior Citizens lunch is also canceled. Everyone stay safe and warm!

A call will be going out soon, but any of you who are anxiously refreshing your feed can be the first to know. The roads are not good this morning, so Meridian will have a snow day on Friday, December 12. Enjoy the three day weekend, kids!

On a snowy night the girls picked up another win! Great job by our Lady Hawks!!

What a great night for the MMS/MHS Band Christmas Concert. All three performance groups, under the direction of Dr. Chris Raymond, did a fantastic job and sounded terrific. Kuddos to these young musicians and Happy Holidays!!!

Picture day for G/B basketball and cheer is on Tuesday the 9th.

Exciting news Hawk Nation....Shelby Renfro reached the 1,000 point club this morning!

Congratulations to Shelby for hitting this incredible milestone.

Our HS girls are undefeated at 5-0. They picked up win number 5 against CAM last night. Come check them out at home tomorrow as they face off against MF @ 10:00am.

What a wonderful performance by our MMS and MHS Choirs under the direction of Mr. Anderson. Great job to all and a fantastic start to the holiday season!!!

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, there is no home girls basketball game tonight v. Illini Central. The game will be rescheduled for a later date.

Meridian High School has a couple of coaching opportunities. Track is for this spring. Volleyball is for next fall.

Hawk Nation, let's wish Coach Allen and his HS boys' basketball team good luck as they begin playing games this week. Coach Allen is beyond ready to begin the season schedule. Make plans for our first home game on December 16th vs AO.
