Big Congratulation to Ella Woolington on being selected to the Illinois Basketball Coaches’ Association (IBCA) 1A/2A South All-Star Team!
We are super proud of all the hard work you gave to your team and Meridian Lady Hawks Program!

Such a great concert by MMS/MHS Choir and Mr Anderson. Soloists were fantastic and the whole group sounded superb. Great job to all!

Today I was so happy to have Layla accompany me to the Illinois Principal's Association Student Leadership Breakfast. Layla has exemplified hard work, commitment and leadership throughout her four years at Meridian. While I am sad to see her leave us, I know she is going to do great! (Sorry I didn't get a better picture, Layla!)

Kona Ice for the seniors today! Great group of kids to be sending off on their next adventure.

Seniors in Mrs. Steele's Contemporary Literature class spoke with Mr. Hurelbrink today as he walked them through his experience with his Master's thesis project over the oral history of individuals who lived in the same town through their entire life. After finishing a short novella about a gentleman with dementia and the importance of memories and relationships, seniors were able to learn more about the impact someone's story and life can have on others, and the importance of sharing those stories.
Thank you, Mr. Hurelbrink, for coming in to share your story with these seniors as they prepare to graduate next week!

One of my favorite things at MHS. Today was the annual Rube Goldberg competition in Ms. Bracken's Physics class. Students had to construct a design of simple machines to feed an animal. It's a nerve wracking day but the kids all did great!

Due to weather conditions n the field conditions both softball n baseball games 4/30/2025 will be moved and at W-L High School 4:30pm start.

Today, Paul was honored as one of Meridian's two CIC Scholar Athletes at the Central Illinois Conference Student Recognition banquet. Unfortunately, our other nominee, Ella Woolington and I could not attend due to a commitment here at school. I am proud of both Paul and Ella for all they have done over the past four years. They have been tremendous students, athletes, and leaders in our building! Thanks Paul and Ella for four great years
