Back home where it belongs!
Thank you to the Meridian District, Student Council and Mr. Stielow for another great all district pep rally. It is one of the highlights of the year! #WeAreMeridian #MHSRules

Wednesday, September 13, is the Homecoming Parade beginning at 6pm. The lot between the football and softball fields is for staging those teams/groups riding in the parade. PLEASE do not park in this lot or use it as a drop off point in order to avoid congesting this area. Trailers are asked to enter the south drive and pull around to this lot to line up. Riders should be dropped off at the HS lot and walk over to this area. Those driving attendants should use the parking lot located outside the District Office for line up purposes. We thank you for your cooperation and ask that you please share this post. #WeAreMeridian

I am pleased to let you know we now have our live-streaming back up. To watch MHS sports go to YouTube and search @meridianlive. You will want to subscribe (for free) to enjoy this service. Please pass this along and thank you for your patience as we have struggled to get this up and running!

FCS is holding its annual Crayon Drive for pediatric patients. Please consider donating boxes of 24 crayons, coloring books or flash cards. These will be collected in study halls September 18-22.

Due to the accident at ADM, their will be no HTA classes today. If students need a ride home, they need to be at the MS doors at 11:20 to catch the bus home.

Hawk Fans-- if you are attending tonight's football game at Leroy the football field is not located at the high school. Leroy's football complex is located off of County HWY 150 (E. Cedar Street) on the east side of town. Also, seating is limited and it is recommended you bring a lawn chair if you are wanting to sit down.

Mrs Rappe's Science students use the water bottle flip to demonstrate and learn about cause and effect relationships with angular momentum.

Friday night lights! Here we go!

Just a shout out to John Enlow and Carl Jones who have worked tirelessly in the heat to make sure all of our athletic fields are ready to go; even going so far as to work late last night on the football field under the lights. This is what We Are Meridian is all about- thanks guys!

Twas the night before school and all through the district, little Hawks were stirring to ready for bed. In hopes that the school bus to their home soon would be led.
The parents were elated, all giddy with joy. With visions of quiet homes that soon would deploy.
All the teachers and school staff were ready for what awaits, with promise that a great school year will be their fate.
When in the morning there rose such a clatter, moms and dads arose to see what's the matter. When what did their wondering eyes did appear, but little boys and girls dressed all in Hawks gear. The kiddos were excited, the parents delighted.
Finally, the first day of school was here!
Welcome back! Make it a great year!
We are Meridian!

Hawk fans- Friday nights home football game vs El Paso Gridley will start at 8pm due to the excessive heat. Please make sure to pass this time change along! See you Friday night!!!

Today we dedicated the MHS Ag/Tech Building. There are not enough "thank you's" that can be said but, I hope this encompasses most everyone. Thank you to all who donated their financial and/or human resource to make this dream a reality. Thank you to all who believed in this vision to better the opportunities our students will have. Thank you for the trust you put in all who were involved in this process to see that it was carried through to the end. I have long said the Meridian community is the greatest and this is just another example of why I feel this way. We Are Meridian!!!
