Hawk Nation would like to Congratulate Ella Woolington and Shelby Renfro on earning 2nd Team All-County! These two ladies not only lead within the halls but on the court as well. They battled each day with their team beside them earning this honor. We wish you the continued success moving forward through this next year.

It was such a pleasure to get to attend the IPA Student Leadership breakfast with Maggie P. today. She is so deserving of this recognition and I truly appreciate how much she has done for Meridian High School over the last four years. Not only was Maggie recognized for her commitment to her academics and her leadership, she also was the recipient of one of two IPA Abe Lincoln Region scholarships awarded today! Maggie, I could not be more proud of you and all you have accomplished!

Had a chance to watch our boys play baseball today and pick up the W over Tuscola. These players and coaches have worked hard and it shows. They have utilized senior leadership and relied on relatively young players to keep battling. Great job today, fellas. Keep grinding and keep those smiles on your faces! #WeAreMeridian

So happy to see this girl again! Larou was our foreign exchange student during the 2019-20 school year. During her year, she fully immersed herself into Meridian and made the most of her year here. Today, she brought her father with her so he could see where she spent her year away from home. It was so great to listen to her relive her memories with us and share with him all she did during that time. Larou, you will always be a Meridian Hawk!

Today our 9th grade students took part in the Teens, Trucks and Traffic program put on by Hartman Safety Consulting. Our kids were able to learn about, and see, a lot of real life situations related to being new drivers and various distractions and hazards. On a side note- I had many compliments on how great our kids were which makes me so proud of them!

The MMS/MHS choir performed several pieces during tonight's choir concert. Four high school members had featured pieces and did an exceptional job! Alayna Bickel played the piano while performing The Winner Takes All. Emily Moma & Aubrey Bickel sang Memory as a duet. Senior Kenna Hartry played the guitar and sang Tennessee Orange. The choir and Mr. Anderson have worked really hard this year and did a really great job!
