Today I had the privilege of taking Emma and Connor to the Macon County Principal's Student Recognition Lunch. Emma and Connor are truly outstanding and have had a significant impact on Meridian High School over the last four years. Their contributions to our school and community will be greatly missed, as they graduate. I could not be more proud of these two and wish them nothing but success as they move forward.

Today it was my pleasure to take Jacob and Jolie to our CIC Student Recognition lunch. These two have been great student leaders and are tremendous representatives of Meridian. I am so proud of both and I am honored to have had the opportunity to be a small part of their lives.

As part of their Distracted Driving Awareness Week, SADD was pleased to have Trooper Jordan Meyer conduct a distracted driving simulator presentation to our PE classes. Many were challenged to drive a simulated course while being required to text and face multiple other distractions. We hope this encourages our students to make smart driving choices!

Today, Ms. Bracken's Chemistry classes completed their lab in which they tie-dyed shirts, turning them from yellow/green to a deep blue color. The students really had fun with this experiment and here are a couple of pictures of the finished product!
