MHS would like to thank and recognize Mrs. Johnson for all she does for our students. As we recognize National School Counselor's Week, enough cannot be said about the time and care Mrs. Johnson takes for the betterment of our students and their futures. Thank you, Mrs. Johnson!
PE students learned to Waltz today! Thank you to Mrs. Sparks for coming in to help teach students a little rhythm!!

We encourage all fans at Meridian contests to display positive behavior toward all participants.

Mrs. Rappés Integrated Science classes recently explored the effect of gradient on erosion in the desert. Great to see the hands on work our Science students do on a regular basis
Congratulations to MHS/MMS Athletic Director, Kelley Lucas, who was named the IHSA 2023-24 Girls Track and Field Official of the year. This is a tremendous honor and one that is truly deserved. Aside from serving as our AD, Mrs. Lucas devotes a great deal of her time and energy away from Meridian as an IHSA Track and Field Official. Once again, congratulations Mrs. Lucas on this honor!
We are going to establish a bus stop at the pavilion in Macon (across from the bank) for any MMS/MHS student who normally walks to school. The bus will pick up at 7:25 a.m. starting tomorrow (Friday, January 26). If your child is interested in catching a ride, please make sure they are at the stop prior to pick up. Please note- this will only be a pick up in the morning.

As a reminder, Meridian HTA students do not attend those classes when we are out due to weather.
No school again today. Everyone stay safe as roads are still not great. No extra curricular events and no practices or open gyms
Roads remain to be very slick. As such, Meridian Schools are closed for Tuesday, January 23. Since the school is closed, all extra curricular events are also cancelled. The call/phone notification will go out at 6:00.
With the continued forecast for ice in the morning, Meridian Schools will be closed on Monday, January 22. Since we cancelled, hopefully this will be the incentive for mother nature to go somewhere else!
With the forecasted wind chill being -20* in the morning, Meridian Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 16. Enjoy the snow day!

Once again, we are hosting the IESA Boys State Basketball tournament in February. To help this be as successful as we can, we are seeking donations for our hospitality room. If you would be willing to donate, please use the link below to sign up!

Mrs Rappe's Science students spent the week exploring the lipid content of food and modeling the flow of blood through normal and constricted arteries.

Today we had in special guests for our annual Senior Citizens lunch. It is so great to be able to do this for our community. Thank you so much to Mrs Ray and the kitchen staff, along with Mrs Warnick's Foods students, for preparing and helping with the meal. Also, thank you to Mr. Clark and the HS Band for performing.
