The School Safety Drill Act was amended this school year requiring school districts to develop threat assessment protocols and threat assessment teams.  The intent of the new requirement is to ensure that procedures are in place by school districts to adequately document threats towards others and threat of self-harm in a manner consistent with other public schools.  The Meridian Board of Education adopted the Threat Assessment Protocols during the February board meeting and the complete document is on our district website at www.meridianhawks.net.  Simply remain on the district page and go to menu followed by the document icon.   If you have any questions about the Threat Assessment Protocols and procedures, please contact your school principal.
