Meridian Community Unit School District #15

For any school closures due to inclement weather conditions, Meridian will use the contact information provided in each student's SIS account (Student Information System) to send a voice mail, text message and an email.  Local media will also be contacted and this method follows all of these other contact procedures.  For most snow events that may cause a school closure, it will be considered an emergency day that will require that we make that day up at the end of the school year.  For weather events that are prohibitive for safe outside activiites such as extreme wind chills, temperatures and/or ice conditions, the district may utilize an e-learning day for assigned activites to be completed at home.  Teachers will provide more details regarding e-learning day expectations if that takes place.
