On Friday, October 23, the Meridian School District will have a planned Remote Learning Day. On this day, students will not be in session but will, however, still be expected to complete any work their teachers assign. Unlike remote days during our two week closure, teachers will not be hosting any virtual meetings on this day. Instead, teachers will be posting work or tasks to their various platforms for students to complete or will send work home with the students the day before.
On these scheduled Remote Learning Days, students may receive breakfast/lunch as was the case during our mandatory school closure last spring. In order for this process to run efficiently, we would ask the following guidelines to be followed.
1. Parents and Guardians must contact one of the school offices by no later than 3:00pm on Wednesday, October 21 to place their breakfast/lunch order
2. During this call, it will be important for parents/guardians to provide the information below. Please note, parents can request lunches for any student, regardless of grade, at any of the school offices. It is not necessary to call each individual office if you have students in different buildings.
The number of requested lunches
The names of all students receiving the breakfast/lunch and the school they attend
The location they would like to pick up the breakfast/lunch. As in the spring, pick up locations will be the Meridian Middle School entrance, Meridian Elementary School, Hyde Park and Boody.
3. Pick up times on Friday, October 23 are listed below. When picking up, it will be important for the adult to identify, by name, the students they are picking up for.
Meridian Middle School entrance/Meridian Elementary School 10:30-11:00am
Hyde Park/Boody 11:15-11:45am
